This Cookie Policy explains how Ncntrs (“we,” “our,” “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the Ncntrs website available at ncntrs.com and app.ncntrs.com (collectively, the “Service”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. They let the site remember information about your visit, such as your language preference or whether you are signed in. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which work in a comparable way but are managed by the browser rather than sent back to the server.
2. How Ncntrs uses cookies
Ncntrs is a mobile-first service. The Ncntrs mobile app does not use cookies to operate: it uses secure on-device storage for authentication tokens. The Ncntrs website uses a minimal set of cookies and similar technologies, described below, to keep the site secure and functional.
3. Types of cookies we use
Strictly necessary
These are required to run the Service and cannot be turned off. They include:
- Session cookies that keep you signed in to the website.
- CSRF / XSRF tokens that protect forms and sign-in from cross-site attacks.
- Load-balancing cookies set by our hosting provider to route traffic reliably.
Preferences
These remember choices you make so the Service behaves the way you expect. For example, the language selector (EN / ES) stores your choice so the site stays in that language on your next visit.
Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the Service is used (pages visited, errors, approximate region). If we use a provider that sets cookies, we configure it to anonymise IP addresses and we do not sell analytics data. If you have enabled a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, we will respect it where technically possible.
4. Third-party cookies
When you choose “Sign in with Apple” or “Sign in with Google,” those providers may set their own cookies on their domains as part of their authentication flow. Those cookies are governed by the providers’ own cookie and privacy policies. Ncntrs does not control them and does not read them.
5. How long cookies are kept
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Preference cookies typically remain for up to 12 months unless you clear them earlier. Strictly necessary security cookies are kept only for as long as needed to perform their function.
6. Managing cookies
Most browsers let you view, block, and delete cookies through their settings. You can usually find these under “Privacy,” “Security,” or “Site data.” Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break parts of the website — for example, you may not be able to sign in. On the mobile app, you can sign out or delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service.
